The Adventure Pass...

Hi Everyone-
Just to mention - we'll be down visiting Vetter...Tuesday, the 19th.
My question is though - I've heard, that you need a 'pass' to visit the area? Where does a person obtain this, if he is coming in from the East on the scenic Highway 2?
Help would be appreciated - thank you.
Glen Boulier.

You can get more info about
You can get more info about the Adventure Pass here http://www.fs.fed.us/r5/sanbernardino/ap/ They are available at many sporting goods stores like REI and Sport Challet, and several local merchants near main roads heading into the forrest.
Unfortunately Angeles Crest Highway is closed between Vincent Gap and Islip Saddle due to a washout, so you can't get to Vetter from the eastern side of the Angeles. Your best bet is to either take Angeles Crest Highway (CA Hwy 2) west from LA, or to take Angeles Forest Highway (FH 59) south from the Antelope Valley down to Upper Big Tujunga Road then west on Angeles Crest Highway.
