Photos from "Santa Anita" fire

Saturday afternoon, the 26th of April, I was on my way back to Sierra Madre from a tree planting project near Crystal Lake when the Santa Anita fire started.

I took these photos over the next 3 days.

The flames got within 1000 feet of my apartment, but luckily there was little wind and a large development area that worked as a fire break. I packed up, but never had to evacuate.

Wow Neat Pics

Wow, those are really nice pics. By the way, during the website demo at the Sunday reconnect, I added this reply as part of the demonstration. Afterwards I edited it and changed the Woah to Wow. I'll have to start using my flicker account too. :)

True to his word

CW always did say it's important to get it down first and check for spellings later.  I guess that was just part of the demo!
