Training for 2019 Season

Training is for ANFFLA volunteers is held once a year, usually in May.  New members have 6 hours of Class Training plus an In-Tower Training.  Returning, active lookouts have one “reconnect” training class to attend.  Please see below for details.

New Volunteer Training

To accommodate schedules, there are two options for our New Volunteer classes.  One is an all-day, Saturday class.  The other is option is split into two evenings.  You need only to attend the all day class OR the two-evening classes.

There is an initial cost of $40 to get started as a Fire Lookout, this is simply to cover the basic costs of your basic uniform and your manual.  You will need to bring either $40 cash or a personal check with you at the start of your training.

Training Class Option 1 – All Day
